Major updates to Fanfiction page: one new chapter of Aliens fic, one chapter of new crossover fic entitled Street Angel (sequel to Belladonna), three new chapters of Forever Knight story entitled Dust to Dust, two new chapters of Forever Knight story entitled CSI: Toronto, two new chapters of Betrüger, and five new chapters of new Yu-Gi-Oh story entitled Crooked Way (sequel to Where Angels). Updates to the Forever Knight Recommendations page. I've also changed the name of the Forever Knight story on my Fanfiction page, changing it from "CSI: Toronto" to "Dust to Dust". A story with the title "CSI: Toronto" set in the Forever Knight universe will still be written by Katsuko and myself (Dragons of the Moon). Still on hold for the new layout. Added another Captain America rec. I've also made a small correction on my own fanfiction page, where apparently the copy-pasta struck me a little too strong. New fics are a bit "ehhh" right now. I have a couple chapters of things finished ("Belladonna" and "Betrüger"), but I want to see if I can't get more typed on them first before I upload them.

The site is back online as DarkMagick.net. In addition to the change to SHTML, I've also made some changes to the menu and how things are set up. They're mostly small changes, except to the fanfiction page.

The update via Tripod is almost complete. I have one more story to go over and then I'll be through... at least for DarkMagick.net. After that, I'll work on Katherine Bell, then it will be Apollymi's Grimoire. Sites like Boheme Amies and Never Say Goodbye will take a little longer, because I have to do a lot of hand recoding.
But at least DarkMagick.net is almost back up. Hopefully it should be back online as a domain tomorrow.

The backup and revamp via Tripod is going quite well. I have found out something that moderately interests me, so I am repeating it. Apparently, Tripod (a free ad-based webserver) allows Server Side Includes on regular HTML. However, Dreamhost, my current paid host, apparently doesn't trust its userbase enough to allow them to do stuff like this. So on Tripod, I'm going to have to create the files in HTML, complete all the edits, and then change them to .shtml, because that's all that Dreamhost will allow Server Side Includes (SSI) on. It makes no sense to me. But at least SSI saves me the trouble of recoding every page and does damn near everything that PHP includes did, hopefully with less security issues.

It took until midnight last night and I'm up again at 0600, but I think I have everything odd on the site pulled up. I've saved a clean back-up, and I am going to be seeing about what I can do to prevent this from happening again. When I've had more sleep, I'll work on this more.

All the fiction should now be up to date, with the corrected coding. If you happen upon one with background too dark to read the text, please email me at: apollymi at gmail (dot) com or apollymi at darkmagick (dot) net. I will get on fixing it as quickly as possible. Still debating on a revamp of the pages for my own fiction, but I figure this can hold off for a little bit. My next order of business is to update Apollymi's Grimoire, since I've also been putting that off quite a while.

Fanfiction writing front remains at an impasse. I'm hoping something comes about soon, though.

I'm also thinking about taking down any stories rated below 3 stars. Thoughts?

New layout uploaded. I needed something that didn't hurt my eyes as much as the pinks and purples did. I am in the midst of doing a pretty substantial update to the fanfiction, so if that takes a bit to look right, that's why. The only sections I have not finished are: Crossovers, Originals, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Yu-Gi-Oh: Endless Loop. All other sections of my own stories are done.

So on Tripod, I'm going to have to create the files in HTML, complete all the edits, and then change them to .shtml, because that's all that Dreamhost will allow Server Side Includes (SSI) on. It makes no sense to me. But at least SSI saves me the trouble of recoding every page and does damn near everything that PHP includes did, hopefully with less security issues. 23 March 2012 A successful test and relauch on DarkMagick.net is going on in the background of my Tripod site, Atashi no Spaceman, while I leave DarkMagick.net itself broken until it's fully ready to go back up online. 22 March 2012 The hijacking code reappeared in the site last night. I took the site completely down to deal with this. Once it's fixed, I'll bring the site back up. 12 March 2012 It took until midnight last night and I'm up again at 0600, but I think I have everything odd on the site pulled up. I've saved a clean back-up, and I am going to be seeing about what I can do to prevent this from happening again. When I've had more sleep, I'll work on this more. 11 March 2012 In the midst of cleaning up some malicious coding on my sites. If something is odd on the site, it's a page I haven't made it to yet. 12 February 2012 After a brief marathoning of the fifth and final season of Angel, I have added a recs page for it. Still debating on a revamp of the pages for my own fiction, but I figure this can hold off for a little bit. My next order of business is to update Apollymi's Grimoire, since I've also been putting that off quite a while. Fanfiction writing front remains at an impasse. I'm hoping something comes about soon, though. 03 February 2012 One new Gundam Wing rec added, for a series of stories I can't believe I forgot to put up. I needed something that didn't hurt my eyes as much as the pinks and purples did. I am in the midst of doing a pretty substantial update to the fanfiction, so if that takes a bit to look right, that's why.
